Position Description & Responsibilities

We are growing our Worldwide Strategic Business development team and are looking for the perfect mix of technical background combined with business skill. Your entrepreneurial mindset will help us grow our technical liaisons with top technology companies like AWS, Microsoft or Red Hat.  Our future Technical Director/Senior Manager, Strategic Business Development, will take the responsibility to manage and grow partnerships on a technical and business level.  

 

  • Direct the development of key strategic partnerships that grow our position in the market (usually 2 to 3 partnerships)
  • Align corporate and business development priorities to company vision and strategy
  • Become a trusted advisor to your partner at a technical and business level 
  • Partner with internal teams to manage the on-going relationships with existing and new partners
  • Evangelise within the partner organisation and the ecosystem the joint value to drive business opportunities
  • Build a partnership from MVP to a scalable sales model. 
  • Building, managing and leveraging a strong network to help identify opportunities
  • Take program management responsibilities to drive your partnership forward working with product management, sales and marketing

Qualifications

  • Building a business or market from scratch. Ideally founding member of a startup. 
  • Mastersdegree in a technical field or a business major with technical touch from a 4-year university required
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic technical roles: Product Management, Technical Key Accounting, Sales Engineering
  • Ability to align partner strategic goals to internal goals, develop and execute a roadmap.  
  • Ability to develop a go-to-market strategy and drive tactic results 
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Excel in working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to communicate complex matters in an easy to understand and structure way
  • Experience speaking in front of technical and business audiences (meetups, conferences)
