Position Description & Responsibilities

As a Federal Partner Sales Manager at Dynatrace, you will be responsible for eliminating the barriers between ideas and outcomes for our partners through the introduction and use of Dynatrace APM/DEM solutions to solve their client's application performance management and digital transformation challenges. This will be accomplished by recruiting, strategic planning, managing, enablement and driving sales with our partners and strategic Federal Systems Integrators. The ideal candidate for this position must have a thorough understanding of the partner's business and the industry in which they compete, their corresponding IT initiatives and offerings, identifying where and how Dynatrace can help grow their business, develop compelling business value proposals and sales plays for our solutions, and engage with Dynatrace Federal direct sales team to execute successful transactions, resulting in incremental revenue attainment. This position is further responsible for developing and maintaining trusted relationships with the C-suite, senior level decision makers, and sales reps within the Partner account(s).


In this role, you’ll help support Dynatrace as we accelerate the adoption of Application Performance Management, Digital Experience Management and the overall digital transformation of the US Federal government in conjunction with the Federal IT industry by:


  • Building strong relationships with partners, Federal System Integrator's (resellers and VARS) & customers, identifying customer needs and selling through partners into the Federal space
  • Delivering value to partners and customers
  • Making persuasive product presentations
  • Driving net new opportunities to Dynatrace via our resell, VAR partners & Systems Integrators


 The perfect candidate for this role will have a demonstrated record of success in positions of increasing responsibility over the course of their career. She/he will have an outstanding track record and reputation for achieving sales goals by selling enterprise management software solutions. They will be sharp, professionally aggressive, and love to hunt. An ideal background will include:


  • Typically 10 or more years of experience with proven results in the disciplines necessary to build a healthy and growing Partner Ecosystem (partner business planning, partner engagement, sales management, program and campaign management) with an understanding of technology, market dynamics and industry trends
  • Experience working with partners to uncover and close new opportunities within the Federal SI, VAR and distributor/reseller ecosystem
  • Demonstrated Ability to close net new logos
  • Expertise working with partners to drive new business
  • BA/BS degree in a business-related field (Computer Science, Information Systems, Marketing, Business, Management, Communications)
